Two weeks of Friday 5

Since the site was down for the revamp last week, I’m going to catch up on the last two weeks’ worth of Friday 5 questions:

Friday 5 for March 13: It’s Cold!

  1. What’s your favorite frozen heat-and-eat food?
Hmmm… that’s actually really hard. There’s this place that does some really nice frozen ready-meals… I like most of theirs, but particularly the duck in orange sauce. Nom!
  2. How sensitive are you to cool temperatures?
I do feel the cold pretty easily, especially if I’m sitting still at the computer all day!
  3. How many ice-cube trays are there in your freezer?
None. I have one ice-cube tray, but it’s in a kitchen drawer. I do have a couple of ice-cube bags in the freezer, though. And some frozen blue plastic penguins.
  4. What aspect of your life seems to be frozen in place?
    Hah. My mental health. :-/
  5. What’s your favorite blanket like?
I spose this means ‘favourite blanket for snuggling under on the sofa when it’s cold’… in which case I’ll say one of my fleece blankets because they’re light but warm and good for keeping me cosy. But really the blanket of mine that I love best is the wool tartan one that I got in Edinburgh and kept in my car when I still had that. I don’t use it so much now cos I don’t want it to get covered in cat hair!

Friday 5 for March 20: Quarterly Progress Check

  1. Would you say 2009 so far is meeting expectation, exceeding expectations, or failing to meet expectations?
So far, 2009 has been fairly not-happening for me. Which is the fault of how I’ve been rather than the year itself. When I’ve been well enough to engage with life, there have been good things going on, so I’d say it’s technically exceeding expectations, since mine are so low right now anyway!
  2. What letter grade would you give yourself for your performance at work or school?
Not that I’ve been to either, but for my performance in life so far this year: a big, fat F for FAIL.
  3. On a scale from 1 to 10, how happy have you been with the weather so far in 2009?
Other than a couple of periods of wtf (giant! hail! the other night!!), I think it’s been OK. My brain is like a sieve though, so I might be forgetting. It is still the winter (or has it edged into spring now?) so of course it’s not all sunshine and roses, but that’s as it should be. I’ll give it an 8.
  4. Which of the Motion Picture Association of America’s film ratings would you give your social life so far in 2009?
Almost entirely a “G” – family time, knitting and spinning groups, hanging out with Ally and baby H, and perhaps a “PG” during that weekend that Char came to visit and we discovered that Robert Downey Jnr in Ironman is the best thing evah, etc. It’s been quiet.
  5. 2009’s parents are on the phone and want to know how 2009 can improve its performance. What have been 2009’s areas of strength and what are its areas for growth in the second quarter?
Uh, Um. Business speak, send help, cannot cope! (Off to Mordor) Alright, not really. Areas of strength have been opportunities for learning new skills (spinning). I guess areas for growth will be getting my brain back in gear? That’s definitely something that needs doing.

Friday 5 for March 6: On This Date

I know I said the bloggy resolutions were for the ‘new’ version of the site, but there’s no time like the present and all that. I need to try and start getting into good habits asap… and also, there might be a bit of radio silence soon when I get to the point where I need to move the blog entries over.

So here we go – even though it’s a few days late, the Friday 5 for March 6th:

1. On March 6, 1869, Dmitri Mendeleev presented the first Periodic Table of the Elements to the Russian Chemical Society. What memories do you have of your high-school chemistry course?
My most vivid memory would be of Mr G injuring himself during a demo, yelping “Shit!”, then changing it to “Er, ship! I saw a ship sailing past. The window. In the air….” It ended up as a bit of a running joke that year, if I remember right. I also remember moles. Mooooooooole!

2. On March 6, 1899, the Bayer company registered aspirin as a trademark. When did you last take medication for pain?
Last week. I think it was the weather – I had a headache that just wouldn’t leave, so I was taking some ‘Extra Power Pain Reliever’ tablets, which are the same as Anadin Extra, only the generic version from Sainsbury’s.

3. On March 6, 1853, Giuseppe Verdi’s opera La Traviata premiered in Venice. How do you feel about opera?
As a general rule, I love opera. Of course there are some that I like more that others, and some that I’m not really keen on. Like any other music, it varies. But generally, I love listening to it, I love attending performances where possible, and I love singing it. La Traviata is actually one of my favourites, and I was lucky enough to see the production at the Royal Opera House when I was at uni, with Sir Georg Solti conducting, and Angela Gheorghiu debuting as Violetta. Completely fabulous.

4. On March 6, 1947, American film director Rob Reiner (Meathead!) was born. Which of these Reiner-directed films have you seen, and what do you think of them?
To make it quick, I shall cross out the ones I haven’t seen, and make brief comments by the ones I have:

  • The Bucket List (2007)
  • Rumor Has It… (2005)
  • Alex & Emma (2003)
  • The Story of Us (1999) – ummm… I’m sure I’ve seen this, but I can’t remember what I thought of it!
  • Ghosts of Mississippi (1996)
  • The American President (1995) – liked this one, though it’s been a while since I’ve seen it.
  • North (1994)
  • A Few Good Men (1992) – eh.
  • Misery (1990) – good… but not half as creepy-scary as the book.
  • When Harry Met Sally… (1989) – I remember I wasn’t sure about this for the first half of the film, but it grew on me and I really liked it by the end.
  • The Princess Bride (1987) – ♥♥♥♥♥!!!!!
  • Stand by Me (1986) – kind of makes me go “awwww”.
  • The Sure Thing (1985)
  • This Is Spinal Tap (1984) – is made of awesome!

5. On March 6, 1972, American basketball-player Shaquille O’Neal was born. How do you feel about basketball?
I have no feelings about it, particularly. I spose I enjoy it as a tv spectator sport more than some others, but I’m not really into sports in general. I did quite enjoy netball at school and I think we played a bit of basketball in senior school too, but that’s as near as I’ve really got. I have more of a grasp of the rules that I do of baseball, American football, or even proper football, mind you!

Still around!

Since I haven’t posted in a million years (or four months, which is the same thing in internet-time), I thought I’d mention that I am still here! Alive and kicking, and all that. Mostly accidentally kicking the cat, actually, but if he will sit under the computer desk, what does he expect? Aaaaanyway….

I think what I need to try and do is get back into the swing of regular posting. Even though it’s been years since I’ve actually been doing that. But I want to try it, so I’m going to do a sort of NaBloPoMo of my own… only starting today and running until 6th January. Which is the Twelfth Day of Christmas, and even though it’s a coincidence that it works out like that, it feels kind of appropriate. So even though I’m not doing a calendar month of posting, I will be posting for a month up to the end of the Christmas season proper. :-) A festive BloPoMo!

So, that’s my end-of-year resolution! Now, I have to go and write my list of people I’m buying presents for and sending cards to. Do you think I’m running a little late? Well, let’s hope not! Which reminds me…

If you’d like a Christmas / holiday / whateveryouwannacallit e-card, drop me a comment including your email address (which won’t be published on the site) and one will be winging its way to you soon! If you’re in the UK and my budget allows, I might email you for your snail mail address so I can send a ‘real’ card out… let me know if you’d be up for one of those too. :-)

Friday 5!

I used to do the original version of this meme, back when this was a life-in-general blog, and I’ve decided I’d like to start up again. So here goes:

1. What was the last thing you baked?
Ahahahaha. Baking? Me? Um, no. Unless this counts anything that goes in the oven, in which case… a casserole?

2. What was the last thing you tried on for size?
The cardigan I bought on Tuesday. I know, bought. I fail at knitting. But see, I suddenly realised (on Monday evening) that I was going to freeze on Wednesday if I didn’t have a nice cardigan to wear at the funeral. So I went out and got one. I felt bad! But interestingly, it’s a cardigan that I don’t think I’d have looked at before I started knitting. I bought it because I liked the cable-and-bobble pattern on the front as well as loving the colour (aubergine is everywhere right now – awesome!). I picked it up and considered how it was knit and constructed before I got to “is it me”. Heh.

3. What was the last thing you purchased on credit?
Ummm. Train tickets, I think. Either that, or some ebooks.

4. What was the last thing you put a postage stamp on?
A postcard to my SP11 pal, I think. Technically, I didn’t put the postage labels on the packages I’ve sent out, the post-office people did…

5. What was the last thing you took a photo of?
The Hedara sock in the last post :-)

– The Friday 5

The friday five

The friday five: What was… 1. …your first grade teacher’s name? Mrs H…. H….. H-something! Damn. Hutchinson, maybe? My Mum remembers, I know. I remember what she looked like, the name is just escaping me. 2. …your favorite Saturday morning cartoon? Don’t remember if it was on Saturday morning, but I liked She-Ra! And Visionaries. … Continue reading “The friday five”

Mrs H….

On a Saturday morning I used to watch the Multicoloured Swap Shop, and later Going Live, and so on. Which had cartoons included, but I don’t remember what was when.

3. …the name of your very first best friend?
Victoria. We were best friends from when we started infant school, til her family moved away to Pevensey when we were 6 or 7, I think. And then I was best friends with Maria til we went to senior school.

4. …your favorite breakfast cereal?
Um. Weetabix, I think. It still is!

5. …your favorite thing to do after school?
Read. I was such a bookworm! *g* I’d squeeze in reading wherever I possibly could, and even when I wasn’t sposed to (ie. during Maths class…. *g*). I still do read a lot, but ye olde internet takes up a lot of what used to be reading time. Heh :-) I did also used to go out to play in the summer though, and go to Brownies / Guides and so on, so I didn’t have my nose in a book my entire childhood.

The friday five

The friday five: When was the last time you… 1. …went to the doctor? Thursday, to see the consultant. The friday five:

1. …went to the doctor?
Thursday, to see the consultant. And now I have to go back to my own GP, and blah blah blah…. *yawn* I’m always at the bloody doctor.

2. …went to the dentist?
Ahem. Oh dear. When I lived in London. 1998, ’99? Ooops. Really must find one up here and make an appointment.

3. …filled your gas petrol tank?
Not since just after I got back from staying with the parents at Xmas / New Year. First week of January? I luuurve my economical car. Obviously I haven’t done a huge amount of driving, but it’s been a couple of hundred miles and I still have a quarter tank left. Still, I’m going to Leeds tomorrow, so I shall fill her up again before I leave.

4. …got enough sleep?
Mmmm. I probably got more than enough today – had another one of my totally-zonked oversleeping things. And now I’m back off to bed again, so I can get up early enough in the morning.

5. …backed up your computer?
Not since the last time I reformatted, actually. Which was after I got my CD burner, definitely. Er. That might be as much as six months ago. Maybe more. I should probably do it again soon, shouldn’t I? I’ve got the ZIP as well at the CD-RW, so I have no excuse, really.

Back from Germany.

Hello!! I got back from two weeks in Germany yesterday, visiting Noxy and Luna. Hello!! I got back from two weeks in Germany yesterday, visiting Noxy and Luna. Had a most excellent time – there was much silliness and laughter, watching of movies, appreciation of the pretty, reading and reccing of fic, and of course, going to Ring*Con. It was absolutely brilliant to see the two of them, and it was also kind of spooky how normal it felt to be all hanging out together… and it completely sucks that we’re not near enough to be able to nip round to see each other at weekends or anything. Humph. But we’ve pledged that we’re going to visit at least once a year if not more often, and made a weekly chat date. *sigh* It’s brilliant that we were able to meet each other through the net and all, but it’s at times like this that I really wish that distance and travel weren’t so much of an issue!! Heh.

I don’t think I’ve actually mentioned it here yet, but I’ve been made redundant from my old tech support job. Which I’m looking at as a positive thing, because I’m now going to take the opportunity to move back into the music world, and start teaching again – hopefully full time, this time. Voice, Clarinet, Recorders, Theory, and beginner Piano. I’m also going to be completing my Teaching DipABRSM, and I’ve signed up for the first course towards a DipMus at the Open University because I fancy a few more letters after my name ;-) Hopefully, I’ll continue on to actually finish my degree in the long run. Shock!! Anyhow, I’m feeling pretty happy about doing this – music really is my Thing, you know? (Eloquently put, hmm?) But much as I love messing around on the computer, and playing with websites and technology and all that, music is what’s in my gut, my soul, the thing that makes me feel (corny as it sounds) whole and real when I’m doing it. And I always really enjoyed teaching – as much, in a different way, as performing and writing.

So there we go, that’s what I’m going to be up to in future, all going well! I’m pretty much set up to start teaching from home, and I have a couple of other possibilities to look into as well. I do, however, really need a car. Urgh. Help? ;-) I’m going to have to do some temping to keep myself going financially, I think, so I’ll hopefully be able to save some money towards getting mobile. It’s either that, or see about getting a loan. Don’t really want more debt, but…. I do need a car!! Damn.

And to change the subject again, here’s last week’s friday five:

1. List five things you’d like to accomplish by the end of the year.
(Does this mean 2003 or 2004? Hmmm…. let’s say it’s this year.)
– To have started up teaching music pupils.
– To have a definite car-getting plan!
– Get a washing machine (does that count as an accomplishment?)
– Be back doing some kind of actual work!
– Get off these damn meds.

2. List five people you’ve lost contact with that you’d like to hear from again.
– Christina
– James
– Ian (Bernard!)
– W (what am I like?)
– Eddie

3. List five things you’d like to learn how to do.
– Play the guitar.
– Car maintainance stuff.
– Ride a motorbike.
– Fly (as in, a plane)
– (Can I save this one for later?)

4. List five things you’d do if you won the lottery (no limit).
– Buy houses / cars / presents for my family.
– Get a car, a motorbike, a boat, a plane.
– Go on a massive world trip to visit all my friends.
– Technology. I would go completely mad with the lovely lovely technology. Mmmmmm.
– Find a damn big house / estate / building and make it into a fabulous fandom house or apartment complex or something, with permanent accommodation for a group of us, plus rooms for people to come to stay… and a big cinema, a library, a highspeed network / net connection, and an octagonal music room with all the instruments and schtuff I / we could ever want…. *vbg*

5. List five things you do that help you relax.
– Read.
– Sing / play music.
– Breathing exercises.
– Walk.
– Spend time with friends, vegging :-)

Belatedly, here’s the friday five

Belatedly, here’s the friday five from my birthday (last Fri, 17th): 1. Name five things in your refrigerator. Belatedly, here’s the friday five from my birthday (last Fri, 17th):

1. Name five things in your refrigerator.
Skimmed milk, cans of Pepsi, Flora (margarine), salad stuff, and some liver that I must remember to cook today.

2. Name five things in your freezer.
Ready meals (am lazy), frozen veg, Haagen Dazs Pralines & Cream ice-cream, six small blue penguins, and … er … a frozen pancake. (I know there’s much more in there than that, but I can’t think, offhand. Could go look. Can’t be arsed.)

3. Name five things under your kitchen sink.
A blue bucket, disinfectant, pegs, polish, bin bags. (And tons of other crap)

4. Name five things around your computer.
Pile of notebooks, rack of music CDs, handcream, aniseed balls, Baby Wombat.

5. Name five things in your medicine cabinet.
Drugs (painkillers), more drugs (Effexor), still more drugs (sore throat stuff), plasters, antiseptic wipes. Also, vitamins and antacid tablets.

That was relatively easy! *g*

I seem to be tired for no particularly good reason. Zzzzzz. I think it’s probably because I’ve put the heating on since it’s so damn cold and yucky out, and now the nice cosy warmth is making me sleepy. D’oh!

Anyhow, I’d better go and get on with things now – I’m busy sorting stuff out for my “new job”… which is neither especially new, nor exactly a job. Er. Or something like that.

Is it a bird, is it a plane…

Is it a bird, or plane? No, it’s Angle Grinder Man!! Hah. Well, it amused me, anyway. As for me, I’m still a bit fuzzy in the head, and sleepier than normal, but much better than I was! It’s definitely improving, and hopefully I’ll be right back to normal soon. Mum and Dad have been … Continue reading “Is it a bird, is it a plane…”

Mum and Dad have been up to stay for the last two weeks, and I think it helped having them around, even if they did nag me to death! ;-)

While I’m here, I think I’ll do the Friday Five (a bit late, obviously):

1. Is the name you have now the same name that’s on your birth certificate? If not, what’s changed?
It’s exactly the same: Louise Anne

2. If you could change your name (first, middle and/or last), what would it be?
I quite like my name, so nope, no changes. Although, I’ve been vaguely musing for some years on adding “Margaretta” before the Anne, purely because it’s a family name (“Margaretta Anne”) that’s been in every generation for ages. But hey, maybe I’ll inflict it on the next generation, somehow. Mwahahah!

3. Why were you named what you were? (Is there a story behind it? Who specifically was responsible for naming you?)
Mum and Dad chose it between them… and it was mainly because they liked the name and agreed on it. And that’s pretty much it! Both my grandmothers have the middle name “Louisa”, but that’s more a happy co-incidence than a deciding factor.
There’s more of an odd story behind what I’m *not* called – my parents liked the name Claire, and were going to call me that until they realised that it really doesn’t work with our surname (which also begins with Cl). But the strange thing is, whenever someone gets my name wrong, they call me Claire – it’s happened it many, unconnected places, to the point where I’ve even answered to it sometimes. Very odd indeed!

4. Are there any names you really hate or love? What are they and why?
There are names that have certain associations for me, but I think those are impressions I’ve picked up when I was young. For example, the name “Wayne” makes me think of a snivelly whinger, and I’m positive that’s because of a kid I was at infant school with! Also, in the stories that I’ve written when I was younger (15 and below), there are always characters called Jo, Charlotte, and/or Caroline. I don’t know why I had an affinity for those names… I knew several Joannes and a couple of Carolines, but I didn’t associate the characters with them. I dunno. I just liket them. Names I like now are often due to having friends with those names, or favourite book characters. But I can’t think of any in particular that stand right out for me, at the mo.

5. Is the analysis of your name at kabalarians.com / triggur.org / astroexpert accurate? How or how isn’t it?
Heh. Some of the things on kabalarians were fairly accurate, but then again, it’s a very general thing, so… eh…. *shrug* As for triggur.org:
LOUISE
========
From the Italian root meaning “Complete Bastard”
========
Expression: Louise is a stinking kleptomaniac.
Personality: Louise would not be a good candidate to babysit your children.
Natural: Louise has no native instincts for survival.
Emotional: Louise uses and abuses friendships.
Character: Louise will turn on you in an instant.
Physical: Louise could use major dental surgery.
Mental: Louise can be apathetic to a fault.
Motivation: Louise hates dealing with the details.

Well, a couple of those are actually kind of accurate ;-) I’ll let you decide which. Hehehehe :-)

The friday five

The friday five: 1. How much time do you spend online each day? At the moment, just a couple of hours a day, since I’m asleep pretty much the rest of the time. But normally it’d be between 4 and 16 hours a day, depending on whether it’s a work day or not (or on … Continue reading “The friday five”

The friday five:

1. How much time do you spend online each day?
At the moment, just a couple of hours a day, since I’m asleep pretty much the rest of the time. But normally it’d be between 4 and 16 hours a day, depending on whether it’s a work day or not (or on whether you count being logged on at work as being online, I spose).

2. What is your browser homepage set to?
http://my.yahoo.com – nothing amazingly exciting, but it works for me. I’ve got it set up to include news headlines, a list of handy bookmarks, and a few other things that are useful.

3. Do you use any instant messaging programs? If so, which one(s)?
I’m registered for all the main ones – AIM, ICQ, Yahoo and MSN, and I use Trillian so I can be on as many or few of those at once as I like. I mainly log onto AIM, though, as most of my friends use that.

4. Where was your first webpage located?
Hee, my very first webpage! Bless. It was at Geocities, and I made it back in 1995 when I was at uni. It was, literally, one page, and it was grey – made with the site building utility thing they had, since I didn’t learn HTML until a few years later. Awww :-)

5. How long have you had your current website?
If we’re talking about *this* website, then it’s about 2½ years. The longest running website I’ve got at the mo is S&S, which has been going for just over four years now.

Friday Five…

Since I’m here, I think I’ll have a go at the friday five. Because this week’s topic is, er, sort of topical for me. Yes. 1. What time do you wake up on weekday mornings? Ahahahahahahahahahaha. 1. What time do you wake up on weekday mornings?
Ahahahahahahahahahaha. At the moment, I’m waking up on average between 12pm and 6pm. Yes, really. When ‘normal’, assuming it’s a work day, it would be 6am – 7am.

2. Do you sleep in on the weekends? How late?
Again, when ‘normal’ it’d be maybe 10am, depending. At the moment? Eh. Half the time I don’t know what day it is anyway, so weekends don’t really factor into things.

3. Aside from waking up, what is the first thing you do in the morning?
Give the cat a cuddle, then go downstairs and give him his meds and breakfast, then get something for myself.

4. How long does it take to get ready for your day?
*shrug* I spose if I have something to do / go out for, then half an hour to an hour. Depends.

5. When possible, what is your favorite place to go for breakfast?
I don’t think I’ve ever actually been out for breakfast, as such. I either eat it at home, or take something with me to work. But when I’ve been away from home, I always enjoy getting a nice cooked breakfast if I’m in a B&B or something. Yum :-)

Will. not. go. back. to. bed. yet!

Zzzzzzzz….

The friday five: 1. What

The friday five: 1. What brand of toothpaste do you use? At the moment, Boots’ own, but I like Signal. 2. What brand of toilet paper do you prefer? Ummm….. not too fussed, as long as it’s decent enough. 3. What brand(s) of shoes do you wear? There are brands of shoes? Er. None particularly. … Continue reading “The friday five: 1. What”

Ummm….. not too fussed, as long as it’s decent enough.

3. What brand(s) of shoes do you wear?
There are brands of shoes? Er. None particularly.

4. What brand of soda do you drink?
Pepsi, and sometimes Coca-cola.

5. What brand of gum do you chew?
I hardly ever do, but if I do have some it’ll probably be green Orbit.

Um. That was boring! *g* But I haven’t posted for ages, so I thought I’d do this. I’ve been under the weather – had sinusitis, and then a virual throat infection. I still kind of have the throat thing, but it’s getting better.

So, I’ve seen the final ever episodes of Buffy. Absolutely loved them, but I feel a bit weird now – I’ve spent so much time on this TV show, it’s really strange to think it’s over. But it was a damn good run, and we still have Angel, so I’m happy. :-)

Time to do the friday five. Yeah, I know it’s Saturday. Shhh! 1. What was the first band you saw in concert? Hmmm…. Probably The Dharma’s, or possibly another local Hastings band. Time to do the friday five. Yeah, I know it’s Saturday. Shhh!

1. What was the first band you saw in concert?
Hmmm…. Probably The Dharma’s, or possibly another local Hastings band. I think The Dharma’s though. Unless you count Morris Minor and the Majors in the park at a children’s festival thingy one time *g*.

2. Who is your favorite artist/band now?
I have so many! There really isn’t an outstanding favourite, but my top loves are Skunk Anansie, Nine Simone, Guns n Roses, Meatloaf, Linkin Park and Norah Jones. Plus Bach, Greig and Handel.

3. What’s your favorite song?
Ummm. See previous answer. Skunk Anansie’s Charlie Big Potato, maybe just about has the edge. I could eat that song. Yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuum.

4. If you could play any instrument, what would it be?
Another instrument? *g* Actually, guitar. Can’t play that yet, except for picking out Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, or whatever. Heheh. I shall get one and learn. But first I need to get my piano playing back up to scratch. I’ve slacked on that in the last few years, and since I started it late, I’ve probably dropped about 4 grades worth. Doi.

5. If you could meet any musical icon (past or present), who would it be and why?
Mozart…. as long as he could keep his hands where they belonged, thankyouverymuch. *g* But god, he was such a musical genius. I’d give a lot to be able to watch him at work.
And, y’know. Some people from the modern bands I like. That’d be cool.

Time to do This-or-That Tuesday.

Time to do This-or-That Tuesday. Can’t be bothered to do a proper entry *g*.

Who is:
1. Sexier (female)…Pamela Anderson or Jennifer Garner?
Oh, no contenst. Absolutely Jennifer Garner. She rocks, especially in Alias, and she has a stunning smile.
2. Sexier (male)…Ben Affleck or Matt Damon?
Hmmm. Matt Damon out of those two, but neither of them appeal to me that much.
3. The better piano player…Billy Joel or Elton John?
Um. I don’t know. Elton? They’re probably about the same, really.
4. Funnier…David Letterman or Craig Kilborn?
Don’t know this one, either. I haven’t seen much of either of them on telly over here.
5. The dumber cartoon cat…Stimpy (of *Ren & Stimpy*) or Tom (of *Tom & Jerry*)?
Argh – never saw Ren & Stimpy. Tom wasn’t *always* dumb, was he? Oh, he probably was. I’m just letting my natural feline-sympathy get the better of me.
6. A better news anchor…Tom Brokaw or Dan Rather?
Hugh Edwards!
7. A better TV chef…Emeril Lagasse or Jacques Pepin?
Errrrr……. Anthony Double-barrelled bloke.
8. The trashier talk show host…Maury Povich or Jerry Springer?
Definitely Jerry, by a million miles.
9. The worse fast food burger joint…McDonald’s or Burger King?
MaccyD’s! Terrible awful stuff. But sometimes oddly tempting……
10. Thought-provoking question of the week: Only a handful of U.S. Presidents have been considered to be *great* Of the following two, which one do you consider to be greater…Franklin D. Roosevelt or Abraham Lincoln? Why?
…………….. Llama?
I still know very little about American history, so I can’t answer this one. Lincoln seems to be the most well known “great” president, to me, but… eh. Who knows? Not me.
